New Alumni Website

On a somewhat related note Microsoft recently released a tech preview of Pivot, a new data visualization tool based on the concept of pivot tables. We created a collection using photos from the alumni archive as a basic demonstration of the software. You can find it here, but you won’t see anything but XML unless you have the program installed.

Finally (and on a completely unrelated note) the school had it’s bi-annual Staff-Masters football match, which we won for the second time in succession.

For the past two years staff and postgraduates in the school have teamed to play a group of undergraduate students in an 11-a-side football game.

We lost the latest game 3-2, almost equalising in the last minute as the ball (pictured) sailed over the goalkeeper’s head, only to be cleared off the line by a defender.

Still, it’s the taking part that counts. Right?
