Coding on the Shoulders of Giants
In the final year of my undergraduate degree I created a short film (along with two friends) for a multimedia project. The film recieved the best movie award at the ‘Computer Science Oscars’ and a few laughs along the way. You can watch it here.
Our intention was to chart our journey through four years of Computer Science, with each year being represented on screen as a different era in film: black and white, technicolour, nineties thriller (hackers tribute), and fly-on-the-wall documentary. The film climaxes (to the extent that this is possible) with a quiz pitting us against two lecturers in the department, though this isn’t entirely clear in the film.
Nevertheless, I think the film ended up being fairly entertaining, though it probably makes little sense unless you’ve read the preceeding paragraph.
