Computer Science supports UKIEPC 2015

The School hosted a local programming contest in conjunction with UKIEPC on Saturday. Students and staff are pictured tackling problem sets throughout the day. April in Computer Science: Poster Presentations and World Domination

The Senior Honours students presented their posters and final year software artifacts to staff and students last week. The best poster accolade and associated amazon voucher was presented to Callum Hyland for his poster – Android: Smoking Cessation, behavioural pattern prediction through spatial and temporal modelling. Senior Honours BBQ 2014

Four years of hard work, and a sunny day in May sound like prerequisites for our SH BBQ. Some laughter, lots to eat, photographic evidence and the odd game of Chess provide a well deserved opportunity to unwind before the focus shifts to exams, thoughts of graduation, or the next step. Senior Honours Poster and Demo Sessions

Our talented final year Computer Science students presented their projects last week. A demonstration and poster session allowed them to discuss the output from a semester of hard work with their peer group and staff. St Andrews Programming Competition 2014

The St Andrews Programming Competition 2014 is a friendly programming contest organised by the School of Computer Science for students belonging to all levels, coming from any background with any amount of programming experience. Team up with up to 3 members per team, compete for 3 hours by solving a set of programming problems using St Andrews Programming Competition 2014

Honours Reception

Junior and Senior Honours were provided with milk based food products, nibbles and fermented fruit juice during their reception. Various attempts to look studious were captured for posterity.
